I don't usually write fiction pieces, but I was inspired. Last night I watched "The French Connection" and then had a cop dream. I woke up with the line "Smitty was a good cop, but a dumbass cop, see?" in my mind (spoken like how a reporter would say it in an old movie). The short piece entitled "Smitty's Story" is entirely based on the dream. Enjoy!
